Last week, I had the sincere pleasure of visiting a sweet little boutique in the downtown district of Gig Harbor. Treasures 4 Humanity opened it’s first brick and mortar location just a few short months ago and has already found tremendous success within this community. Donating 10% of net proceeds to one of three charitable organizations, the shop provides a wide variety of on trend yet affordable pieces that work for every body type and style.
When I first arrived, I was able to spend some time with the shop owner, Diane, chatting about the growth of the business and how it landed in this new location. Let me tell you, Diane just radiates joy and a true passion for what she does. As a business owner, it was so inspiring to hear her talk about the business, their mission to make an impact, and her hands on involvement in the entire process. Of course, we couldn’t forget to talk about the fashion! Treasures 4 Humanity carries so many amazing brands (some of which were new to me) that I am loving for summertime and beyond.
After chatting with Diane, I took some time to pull a few outfits and try things on. I shop online so often that I forgot how fun it is to try on pieces in the store! Hands down, my favorite piece was the Flying Monkey high-waisted, cropped jeans. They were so comfortable, stretchy and flattering! I hadn’t tried on jeans since my son was born four months ago, so I was delighted to put them on and feel fabulous. I adored the fun selection of summery jumpsuits, lightweight cardigans and basic staple tees as well as the nicely curated collection of local goods, including leather handbags from Vicki Jean Bags and ultra luxurious lotion candles from Truelux.
As my infant son started to get fussy, my visit to the shop came to a close. I was thrilled to have experienced such a warm welcome and a wonderful morning of shopping. If you’d like to find a few new pieces for your wardrobe and help support some truly impactful organizations, check out Treasures 4 Humanity either online or in downtown Gig Harbor. Ask for Diane and tell her that I sent ya! She’ll make sure you get taken care of and leave you wanting to come back over and over again. xoxo
